Thank you for taking the time to get to know us!

We are Nelly & Erick, and we live in Anchorage, Alaska. We have been married for 3 years. We took our time dating and married a couple of years later. Erick has lived in Alaska all his life and he loves it. Nelly is from Peru; she has lived in a vast amount of various countries but loves living in Alaska. We are grateful to live in Alaska and call it our home.

Erick values staying active with outdoor activities and being healthy. He is an avid bicyclist and enjoys baking for our extended family. Both our backgrounds are Hispanic and we both speak Spanish fluently. Erick is first generation Mexican American and his parents and siblings also live in Alaska and in the lower 48. He enjoys hiking most weekends, cycling, kayaking, flying, and fishing.

Nelly loves reading and road trips. She has visited most of Alaska. She enjoys going on new adventures with Erick and their dog, Banyan, also called Mr. B. Nelly adopted Banyan seven years ago from Texas, but he prefers life in Alaska. Nelly’s family lives throughout Alaska. She grew up fishing, clam digging, hiking, rock climbing, playing soccer and running.

We love spending time with friends and family. We enjoy going on large group camping trips or taking the time to travel together. Nelly’s brother was adopted, so it was always in our plans to adopt. We enjoy spending time with our nieces and nephews but look forward to having children of our own through adoption. We attempted to have biological children, unfortunately we are unable to do so.
