We are Katie and Dan and are so thankful you are reviewing our family’s profile and considering adoption as part of your journey.

Living in Anchorage for quite a while has provided us with a great base of family and friends close by.  We settled in and purchased a home in 2018, giving us a place to grow into as a family. Originally, we met and briefly dated in Bethel while attending high school. We reconnected in 2017 over lunch and have been inseparable ever since, marrying in 2018. Katie is a registered nurse and is a case manager. Dan has worked for a cargo airline for 18 years and is a traffic/sales manager for the airline.  

We have three children Kylie (20), Blake (17) and Danny (14). Kylie is a very hard-working young lady and is excited as she plans her next chapter of life. Blake is in high school, having a passion for anything involving the outdoors, trucks, and ranching. Danny is in high school; he is excelling at school and loves soccer. We’ve felt very blessed to have become such a tight knit blended family and are excited at the opportunity to expand our family.

Attending weekly service at a local Methodist church has provided us with another great base of support. Financial Peace University has also been a driving force in our lives. Attending the class twice and now in our fifth year of facilitating, with plans to continue yearly. Our main values revolve around work ethic, acceptance, kindness, and generosity.

Kaza is our cherished pup. She is the sweetest, fun-loving pup we have ever had. One of our favorite things to do with her is to head out in all seasons for long walks in nature. Other activities we like to do as a family include traveling, softball, sewing, baking, game nights, snowshoeing, biking, camping, fishing, and reading.
