We are Ben and Harmony. Our families met when we were children. We fell in love as teens and were married a few years later. We lived for several years as just the two of us. During that time, we decided to explore Alaska. We have been on many camping, fishing, hiking, and road trip adventures. We both grew up in large families and wanted to have a large family of our own. Once we learned of the local opportunity for adoption, we knew this was the right path for us to grow our family. We have been blessed to adopt two boys, Amos (5) and Simon (4). As long-time Alaskans, we have both sets of parents and several siblings living locally. Our extended family, along with some close friends, have provided us with a community of support throughout our parenting journey. These same friends and family are able to pour into the lives of our children as well.

Ben works as a Lead Escalation Manager. He is able to do his job from home which allows him to participate with the rest of the family more than a typical job would allow. When he is not working, his favorite activity is fishing during the summer and usually is able to fill the freezer with sockeye salmon every year. Harmony is enjoying the life of a stay-at-home mom of two busy little boys. She has enjoyed every new stage of motherhood even better than the last. She also likes to stay busy being creative, working with her hands through painting, photography, music, drawing, and building projects. Amos is sweet and compassionate with a thirst for books and a love of dinosaurs, outer space, legos, and drawing. He is already becoming quite a good artist. Simon is energetic, funny, affectionate, and loud. He loves cars, fire trucks, and being outside. He is naturally athletic and we anticipate attending many sports events in the coming years. We enjoy being together as a family, playing games, reading books, working on projects, sitting around the fire pit, and playing outside every day. We would love to share our life with another child.
